Pia Törnell received her education and training at the College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm and has been associated with Rörstrand for a number of years. Apart from industrial design, Pia has also worked with glazed tiles for public spaces. She has won a number of international awards and is currently receiving a great deal of attention as one of Sweden’s most successful young designers.

Design is function. To prove it, designer Pia Törnell created Convito. Seeking inspiration in the kitchens of some of Sweden’s finest restaurateurs, she designed tableware which is as perfectly suited to a breakfast croissant as to a dinner party with family and friends.
