Jonas Bohlin received his education and training at Konstfackskolan in Stockholm [the College of Arts, Crafts and Design] and made his breakthrough on the international scene in the 1980s when he combined form and function in his furniture designs. Many of his products have come to symbolise contemporary Swedish design, making him one of our most highly-praised designers.
Apart from furniture, Jonas has also worked extensively in interior design and now, in collaboration with Rörstrand, added porcelainware design to his repertoire. |

Qvint Qvint is Jonas Bohlin’s modern romantic dinner service, intended to function well both for daily use and for special occasions. Qvint is also the Swedish word for the fifth note in a scale, the number five and the interval between the first and the fifth notes in a scale. It is not, however, only associated with music as it also gives a description of the purpose of the dinner service - to be used in various different situations. A quintessential feature of everyday life.
